Home again, Home again

Well, the Joneses and their Papa made it home from our exciting trip to Utah. We had a really great time, and even though it was cold, we enjoyed the weather. Our family reunion was a blast. We borrowed Amber's 40' toy hauler and camped in luxury. After the reunion we went to SLC and stayed with my silly Aunt Gwenda. We met Shani and her kids and went to Gardner's Village and then went to the Gateway Mall and went to the Children's Museum. We had a really great time there. Then, Brit and Spence wanted to stay the night with their "best friends" Sydney and Stetson. So, Shani took on 2 more kids and went home. We picked up the kids and had lunch with my other silly Aunt Mary. Then we drove to Price to see Dr. Karen. She took us to an awesome restaurant to eat steak (I actually had the halibut). We got to tour Karen's new med spa in Price, then went swimming in our motel pool. The next day we drove down to Cedar Mountain and the Cleveland-Lloyd dinosaur quarry and hunted bones. When we were done, we drove to Salina, and then to Manti for the annual pageant. It was very cold there too! The pageant was good, but the sound track was hokey!! You could tell it ws 42 years old. The next day we drove to Goblin Valley. What fun the kids had. They didnt want to leave. That night we drove to Rifle, CO and stayed in a posh hotel room. We got to swim in their pool too. My kids LOVE to swim! The next day we drove to Denver and stopped at Bass Pro. It was Spencer's birthday, so we let him pick out a truck set and a new tent. Then he got to do what he does best: climb a rock wall. We ate at TGI Friday's and Spencer got a huge ice cream sundae. We then drove to Wakeeney, KS and stayed the night. The next day, Father's Day, we were able to make it all the way back to Springfield. Whew! That's a lot of driving. Thanks to everyone who took time out of their lives for us and offered us hospitality. We are so blessed to have such great friends and family. In fact, my Utah friends are like family to me!
